首先，英美國(guó)人對(duì)高考的理解貌似跟我們不太一樣，有些人認(rèn)為它可以籠統(tǒng)地算作一場(chǎng)考試，因此用的是單數(shù)exam；而有些人認(rèn)為它是一系列的考試，所以要用復(fù)數(shù)exams，各有各的道理。
其次，這個(gè)“高”（高等學(xué)校）是翻譯成college還是university？我們常常聽(tīng)到的解釋是“college是學(xué)院，而university是綜合性大學(xué)”。其實(shí)都可以，尤其是在美國(guó)英語(yǔ)中，MacMillan English Dictionary - American是這樣解釋college的：in the U.S., a place that gives students degrees.
